I came across a great company today who offer the most gorgeous collection of furniture.
Let me introduce Galapagos Designs. As they explain on their website, they are home to a unique and inspiring collection of furniture, art and design from the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s, evolved and remade for the 21st century.
Enough blurb, let the chairs do the talking…
Stunning aren’t they?
In a couple of weeks, Galapagos will be at London Design Festival working on a ‘Live’ installation with Ella Doran and The Great Recovery Project (The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce – RSA).
Vintage upholstered chairs will be put through their paces – deconstructed and refurbished into works of art over the week-long show in the V&A Design Studio. It will be accompanied by a talk on 17 September.

Anyway, enough chair drooling, how are you all? I have been busy decluttering the house. I’ve been trying to take a good, long look at each room of the house. It’s surprising how you become quite blind to unnecessary clutter in your own home isn’t it?
If you have any new discoveries to share, I’d love to hear about them. Feel free to get in touch with any new fab finds…
