A while back, I told you all about my little chair that was in desperate need of some love.
I bought it from a local market and all it needed was a new cushion. Here’s a reminder of what it looked like:
I fell in love with fabric by Ellen Luckett Baker who blogs over at The Long Thread. Her pinterest page is worth a follow too.
I bought new foam and had a cushion cover made. I am useless at sewing!
Here’s the end result. What do you think? It’s now our perfect little reading spot.
I have this lovely little Ercol style chair that I bought a couple of years ago from a local market.
It’s not looking its best at the moment – check out the orange seat cushion, looking a bit too retro with my yellow cushions!
I’ve been hunting high and low for a fabric. So many of the upholstery shops offered options that were far too grown up. But on a long weekend in Wells, I stumbled across Sew Vintage. which describes itself as a Haberdashery and Sewing Parlour.
And found this beautiful linen and cotton mix.
I think it’s perfect – fun, playful and little bit retro (without being orange).
